Bourgoin, an expertise story !

In 1906, master harness maker and saddler Emile BOURGOIN of Blois founded his business and the workshop which was later modernized under the new ownership of his son, Marcel. The art of upholstery took over from harness maker and saddler one.
In 1952, the workshop moved and expanded, adding to its line of products, items such as truck covers/tarps, window treatments, rug and tapestry weaving and decorative items.
BOURGOIN remodeled and expanded its production facilities as needed.
In 1972, the small company incorporated.
In 1988, with Marcel BOURGOIN’s blessing, his daughter, Colette and her husband, Alain MEUNIER, took over operations.
In 1991, at the urging of their son Stéphane MEUNIER, Bourgoin moved operations to the transportation center of ORMES (Loiret). In order to better serve their customers, a cover repair center is established, as well as a saddle and harness stichery. Several years later, a truck wash and a paint shop were added to apply either painted or adhesive vehicle advertising.
In 2004, creation of a new activity, the control of chronotachograph any brands, periodic check, limiter, tailboard, crane, wagon.
In 2006, BOURGOIN discontinued the production of window treatments, weaving and decorative items in order to concentrate on the development of their line of covers and tarps.

At the end of 2006, BOURGOIN, with an eye towards the future, chose to establish its operations in Tunisia to open itself up to new markets.
